Just a fun match to watch the integration and execution of bjj and a good stand-up game.  Javier takes his opponent apart placing pressure and emphasis on his weaknesses with a final submission that takes great technique to pull-off in that position.

Check out the video of Draculino training for his Strikeforce Fight on August 21st in Brazil. Draculino has augmented his training with Frankie Edgar at Ricardo Almeida's academy.  The two have trained well together according to Drac, "He showed me a lot of really cool techniques that I think will be really useful for my fight. I also had a great experience training with Frankie Edgar. He is an incredible athlete and he showed me a lot of things that will translate perfectly over to my fight. In addition to some great techniques we passed back and forth to each other, we also had live sparring for 3 rounds that was really awesome. Frankie and Ricardo are both great guys and I’m blessed to have the opportunity to train with talented guys like that."

OTM Fight Shop Corona is celebrating its 2nd Birthday in grand style. Saturday, hundreds and hundreds of people turned out for a chance to meet UFC's current Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva. People started lining up at 8am and by 11am the line went out the parking lot.

Dan Rod, caught up with Dan Miller prior to his fight last week.

Dan was training at the AMA Fight Club in New Jersey.  The website for the club is: http://www.amafightclub.com/ - It is the home for the Miller brothers - Jim and Dan, Rafaello “Tractor” Oliveira, Charlie “The Spaniard” Brenneman amongst others. The club embraces the New Jersey culture and it is nicely located in a strip mall, next door to a Diner (not easy to cut weight with the smell of bacon in the backdoor though) in the Northern part of the state.

MMA Debut for Kyra in 2011

Kyra Gracie reported, (via Tatame.com) that she is training at Nobre Arte gym and is preparing for her MMA debut in 2011. “My focus is still the Jiu-Jitsu, and my biggest goal this year is the Worlds, but my goal is to keep training more boxing so next year I can debut on MMA”, said the Gracie family Black Belt.

Kyra's instructor and master: Claudio Coelho is reported to be happy with Kyra's progression and evolution to stand-up.

“She really surprised me, she has a good physical prepare, she’s good on boxing and she’s a left-handed. We are identifying each other a lot and I’m pushing the work because I want to make her good on her game without being hit with punches, I’m doing the best I can and she has abilities", Claudio said.
