Grappler Feature on Ribeiro Purple Belt Waseam Dannaoui
The Ribeiro Jiu-jitsu association has been the corner stone of the production of some of the best grappling talent in the world. Many great practitioners like Jake Mapes, Tom Oberhue, and Rafael Lovato are all a part of this very prestigious organization whom have gone on to achieve great feats in their athletic careers. Another individual hoping to solidify his own mark of greatness is Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Purple belt and mixed martial art fighter Waseam Dannaoui.
Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana Waseam Dannaoui began his grappling chase competing in wrestling from junior high unto his graduation from High school. Hoping to continue his athletic endeavors, he soon became interested in pursuing a career as a mixed martial arts fighter after watching the ever popular Ultimate Fighting Championship.

A seventeen year old prospect hailing from Lima, Ohio his Witt, consistency, and hardcore devotion to his craft have been the key components that have contributed to his progression and triumphant victories throughout the Midwest grappling scene which sparks as the true mark of a potential future star in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Introduced to the art nearly 2.5 years ago after watching countless hours of the UFC it wouldn’t be until an intriguing interaction with a friend that would further promote his enthusiasm for participating in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu field. Accepting the offer by the friend to try out a class from his first viewing of the practice at Jeremy Harris’s Triangle Club it was in that moment in time where Sawmiiler found his true calling in life.

A city that promotes a healthy and active lifestyle there never seems to be a dull moment living in this town. Hoping to bring a little more excitement to the melting pot the sport of Brazilian jiu-jitsu has invaded this city thanks in part to the contributions of Ribeiro Association Affiliate school Oceanside Jiu-jitsu.
Established in 2009 Oceanside Jiu-Jitsu offers the best instruction in Southern California.
